The Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is currently working on an airport master plan project to study current facilities, amenities, and capacity of the airport to determine how the leadership and team can better meet the needs of travelers for the next 20 years.

The airport master plan process reviews what CAE currently offers in terms of building space, parking, and access to the airport along with amenities like concessions, ground transportation and other accommodations.

Additionally, the plan investigates air travel frequency and anticipated future growth. The process also examines increasing travel demands and the types of projects that would improve passenger experiences inside and outside the terminal, as well as logistic details like boarding and exiting aircraft. Additional steps along the way include gaining traveler and community input through meetings and surveys that will hopefully yield a set of preferred improvements to assure CAE’s guests continue to… Fly with ease.
